Abstract
Social networking and dating smartphone applications are among the most popular applications worldwide across the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The mass increase in smartphone application usage has lead to more diverse services being offered to consumers and a wealth of information for forensic investigators Applications such as Tinder and Snapchat allow users to share personal details including age, gender, geolocation proximity photos and video. This paper explores and determines the significance of information exposed on the internal memory of a smartphone device and how it may assist in a digital forensics investigation. |
