Lukasz GogolkiewiczLukasz is a high proficient security professional, previously responsible for the technical direction and leadership for one of the worlds largest technical security consultancies. Now, he heads up Corporate Security at SEEK. In this role he is responsible for ensuring the protection of sensitive information across a multitude of business systems, corporate systems and IT infrastructure.
He has worked with some of the world largest banks and financial organisations, has worked with federal, state and local governments, presented at and organised a number security conferences, and helps mentor the next generation of security professionals. |
Kirstin McIntoshKirstin is the co-founder of Something Real, a community and angel investment syndicate for cyber security startups in Australia and New Zealand. As the former COO of CyRise, Australia’s only cyber security venture accelerator, she worked with some of most technically adept and ambitious minds of the cyber security community. Kirstin is the co-chair of The Startup Network, (formerly Startup Victoria) Australia’s largest grassroots community of founders, and a mentor with AWSN.
Previously, Kirstin worked in Europe and Asia in business development in the private sector, and corporate partnership roles in public sector for over 23 years before returning to Australia in 2017 and moving into startups. Kirstin holds an MBA from IMD in Switzerland, and a B.Comm from University of Melbourne. |
Brett WilliamsBrett is a highly respected and accomplished professional in the field of IT and security. With over 29 years of experience, he is known for his deep understanding of the security landscape and his ability to help clients operationalise intelligence and build robust security and threat management programs.
Brett is a passionate and dedicated professional who is deeply committed to the cybersecurity community. He participates in special interest groups at the Australian Computer Society and AISA. He is also a regular mentor to new people entering the industry and is dedicated to helping them develop the skills and knowledge they need to be successful. |
Vaughan ShanksVaughan is co-founder and CEO of Cydarm Technologies, a Melbourne-based startup that has built a secure case management platform for cybersecurity incident response. Vaughan first developed an appreciation for information security 20 years ago while working as a UNIX systems administrator. Before founding Cydarm, Vaughan worked at a Silicon Valley-based data analytics vendor, after almost 10 years at the Department of Defence, leading devops teams and driving analytic modernisation efforts.

Lidia GiulianoLidia Giuliano (aka. "Cyber Mum") has been involved in the information security field for over 20 years working in the financial, defence, retail and health care sector. She has an extensive background in security with a key focus on defensive, cloud security and security architecture.
After seeing the huge impact BSides brought to the community when living in the USA, she wanted to create the same experience in Melbourne. Lidia is also a member of the Black Hat USA and Asia Review Board, the Diana Initiative, BSides Las Vegas and probably a few others. She leads the Black Hat USA Speaker Coach Program, together with Kirstin they run the BSides Melbourne mentor program and is actively involved in the information security community. She loves the beach and drinking the occasional Aperol Spritz. |
